]]>Most things are cash only in Banggai, including drivers, hotels, ferries, and restaurants. I’m not sure about money changers, but there are plenty of ATMs in Luwuk, Salakan, and Banggai Laut. We brought a wad of cash from Bali and then pulled some more from an ATM at the BNI bank in Banggai Laut.

]]>We had phone signal with Telkomsel at the lake, and also at our homestay in Leme Leme. It’s good enough for sending texts and emails at least. The situation is better in the main towns like Luwuk, Salakan, and Banggai Laut. We had WiFi in all of those places.
